MOMENTS
Wanderings
Being present.
Sometimes there’s no plan. There doesn’t need to be. The simple act of picking up the camera and heading outside is enough. The real goal isn’t to find ‘the shot’. It’s simply giving yourself the permission and time to be present. Just wander. Make pictures if something reveals itself. If they don’t, that’s ok too. Just be present.
Fairfax House
Lost in time.
Some spaces just speak to you from the moment you walk inside. The air, the light, the atmosphere. Something feels right. Exploring is instinctive. It’s places like these where I get lost in time. And that, to me is priceless.

Pressure….. Overload.
Overload and pressure. It’s only a hobby, I don’t make money from this. It’s for me. This is all true. Yet in a place so stunning I start to feel pressure. There are images to be made everywhere. You should have so many ‘good’ pictures. It creates pressure. I rush. Don’t let myself settle in to the space. I snatch at images, get frustrated. I have to remind myself this if for me and me alone. Breathe, relax, enjoy the process. The pressure isn’t real.
Bempton Cliffs
Slowing down. What do you see… Not the expected.
Slow down. Being present is a battle. No digital. No thoughts of work. Being right here, right now. Noticing not what is expected. But what do you see. What reaches out to you. Thats what you take. Thats being true. This is about you, your voice, your eyes. So breathe. Listen. Stop and notice.
