Harewood House

A lovely place to have a wander. We did get the timings compeltley wrong! I thought we had all afternoon to explore the house… Nope, we had an hour! But hey, it keeps your mind focused when you don’t have much time. A fanatic place to visit, so much light and texture.

I do find it amusing when taking photos of small slices of light coming through a window onto an old wooden floor and other visitors stop, look puzzled and walk on. I do wonder what they make of it! But today I did hear some one on the same wavelength. Their son asked why is that man taking a picture of the floor?. The dad replied ‘it’s the light son, look how that light is shining on the floor’. That made me smile.
